A classic place to try Dutch home-style dishes in a room packed with family photos and a deliberately unpretentious mood.

The concept of the place is really cute, filled with pictures of mothers brought in by customers. Many of them are in memoriam, so it has a bit of sad vibes too. However, the food we ordered didn’t quite hit the note: the lobster soup smelled and tasted too fishy, Marie’s salad sounded more pretentious than it actually was with bitter lettuce and dried figs, the steak wan’t the nicest cut and taste and it came on a massive bed of cooked spinach with 0 taste (not something you would want to pay for in a restaurant), the duck was dry. Other dishes could be better but bas ed on our experience, I can’t recommend this place. Service and concept made the 3 stars.

We visited Moeders and a couple of us ordered the stamppot, which was comforting and hearty, though it did lack a bit of seasoning for our taste. One of us had the ribs and those were actually very tasty, we were all a bit jealous. Service was good and everyone was incredibly polite. The whole place feels like you’re dining in someone’s home, it’s that warm and friendly. It’s obviously an institution and definitely worth a visit at least once when you’re in the city. Booking is required, and they do take a deposit.

My friend and I truly enjoyed our visit. The unique atmosphere of the restaurant gives it great character! Amazing local cuisine and very delicious. Service was also very pleasant and helpful. The best garlic butter experience 😋

The restaurant is warm, charming, and full of Dutch character. I tried their traditional dishes, and everything tasted homemade and comforting, and the service friendly and welcoming. A wonderful place to enjoy classic Dutch food in a cozy, memorable setting. Highly recommend!

A very cute little Dutch restaurant serving traditional, well-prepared Dutch food. The place is small and incredibly cosy, which adds a lot to the charm—definitely not somewhere you can just walk into, so a reservation is a must. The service was friendly and attentive without being over the top, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable, especially by Amsterdam standards. Great quality food, a lovely atmosphere, and excellent value for money. Highly recommended if you’re looking for an authentic and cosy Dutch dining experience.
