I had an amazing time exploring the Joan Miró Foundation. The exhibition beautifully showcases his unique artistic vision through paintings, sculptures, and tapestries. Walking through the bright, airy gallery spaces, I could really feel his creative energy and free spirit. It’s a very inspiring and peaceful place that stays with you long after you leave.
Enjoyed our visit to the Joan Miró museum. Was easy to get to from public transit, beautifully situated on the top of a hill with great city views. Not only was the museum beautifullly curated, but we found it lovely that you could view and purchase other artist's work at the museum. An atypical gift shop experience that was very much appreciated.
Visiting the Joan Miró Museum was an unforgettable experience. The artworks are absolutely stunning, full of life, color, and imagination. You can feel the creative spirit of a true legend in every piece. The whole atmosphere is inspiring, and every detail is beautifully arranged – from the lighting to the open spaces around the paintings and sculptures. Everything is interesting here, even if you weren’t familiar with Miró’s work before. It’s a place where you want to stay longer, explore every detail, and absorb the artist’s energy. An exceptional collection, excellent organization, friendly staff, and a wonderful sense of harmony. Definitely one of the best places dedicated to modern art!
I can’t help but give this museum a well-deserved 5 stars. It is truly spectacular, with an incredible collection of Miró’s work; the ticket price was absolutely worth it. The museum is easy to access, features spacious areas, and offers a location with a beautiful view of the city. It felt like an absolute privilege to be there and take in such a magnificent creation. I would have loved to post more photos, but I was only able to get a few shots of the exterior since I was told that photography wasn't allowed inside. Quite honestly, I noticed many other people taking photos without being stopped, but as a good citizen, I followed the rules and didn't complain. However, I do wish the staff were more consistent—either everyone should be allowed to take photos or no one should. I also want to give a special shout-out to the staff at the museum's café. They are incredibly attentive and genuinely kind people who provide excellent service with a real human touch.
Absolutely loved this. Can’t believe I’ve visited BCN 10 times and never been to this gem. A top tip is to book a guided tour. Miro has a very specific visual code to his work, and the tour guide explains this - which helps make sense of all of his work afterwards.
