We went to see the Ron Mueck exhibition on a Saturday morning. We had pre-purchased our tickets so were able to enter very easily. It's a great museum with really good spaces for the art. And it's a fantastic exhibition! There were plenty of people there but it wasn't too difficult to see everything. The view of Tokyo and beyond is amazing! Recommend! 👌🏻

Overall, the art museum was impressive and well worth the visit. The exhibits seem to rotate often enough to keep things interesting. During my visit, the main focus was on architecture, which made the entire experience really engaging. I especially appreciated the layout of the museum and how clearly they explained the flow of the installations—it was thoughtfully organized and easy to follow. The price was reasonable, and the museum itself was easy to navigate from the train station, so accessibility wasn’t an issue at all. One thing to note, though, is that the Skyview requires a separate ticket. You can either buy both the art museum and Skyview tickets together or just the Skyview if that’s what you’re after. If you plan to visit the Skyview, I recommend going around sunset or later at night. It’s much less crowded, and the views are absolutely stunning at that time. All in all, the art museum offered a fascinating look at architecture and design, and the Skyview added an incredible panoramic finish to the experience. It’s a place I’d definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys thoughtful exhibits and scenic views in one stop.

Quite an interesting place to chill and past time at Tokyo Midtown if you have nothing to do. Reasonable arty farty displays. But not really worth the extra effort to attend. Ticket is JPY2,200 per pax. Only a true art enthusiast will be able to appreciate some of the art displays.

The museum stays open quite late compared to others, making it great for a date-night or for anyone looking for something to do at night that is not centered around alcohol. You don't have to buy tickets in advance (I always go as a walk-in and on a whim when I'm in the neighborhood) but it's more convenient and I believe cheaper as well. So I'd recommend it if you have the forethought. Regarding the art itself, modern art is my favorite and I like the exhibits here. If you are not a modern art fan, this of course may not be for you.

This was a nice 2 hours of our life. We especially liked the AI life decision game at the very end! I’d say you don’t need to bother paying for access to the city view as this gallery has an awesome view from one of the gallery rooms anyway (pictured) - we could even faintly see Mount Fuji. Also very easy to access from the subway. We didn’t buy a ticket in advance but arrived right before 10 am and walked straight in.
