Manekin in Torun was such a fun and magical experience! Quaint spot right in the city center with both indoor seating and a beautiful outdoor patio. We chose to sit outside and loved the atmosphere. We even had entertainment from a roaming magician in a bowler hat, which perfectly matched the restaurant’s whimsical theme. The food was outstanding. The crepes were delicious, and the crunchy coated chicken on the salad was unbelievably good! Cocktails were fantastic too, and the prices were shocking in the best way possible. I couldn’t believe the total once I saw the zloty conversion on my statement and how much we got for our money. Service was quick, efficient, and friendly throughout. Sitting outside with views of the nearby church made the whole experience feel extra special. Overall, an exceptional restaurant and one of our favorite dining experiences in Torun Poland!

Everything here is made of pancakes 😀🥞. I like it, even though it is not my favorite taste. I took one with pulled beef and cheese 🧀 and it is definitely good. The beer combines well. I spent a good late lunch there. Thank you for the experience.

The food was great and in generous portions. The only “downside” would be the waiting time , which can also signal that the place is popular and the food is good. The place seemed to be a bit understaffed, as the 2 waiters took their time with managing the place. Overall, good experience.

We usually enjoy Manekin and have had good experiences in other branches, but unfortunately this visit on January 19, 2026 around 13:15 was very disappointing because of one waiter. There were two male waiters serving at the time; the issue was with the shorter one, who was unaccommodating and spoke to us in a condescending tone, in front of other customers which was embarrassing for us. My boyfriend and I are foreigners, and because it was cold and we were unfamiliar with the place, we didn’t notice a sign by the stairs. I remember it was in Polish and if there was English sign there, we didn’t see. We sat at a table by the window that still had a used mug on it, which didn’t bother us at all, at many restaurants, staff simply clean the table once guests sit down. We waited to be accommodated, and when my boyfriend politely asked if we could have a menu, the waiter responded rudely, telling us that we should sit at a clean table and that we must wait again to be assigned seats. The restaurant was not full at all, so this reaction felt unnecessary and disrespectful, especially given the circumstances. We said sorry because we didn’t really know. He left and didn’t give us a seat even after that. So we just stood up and left the restaurant even though we were already hungry at that time. It’s a shame, because the other waiters were actually nice, and Manekin’s food is usually great. The kind of attitude we witnessed really affects the overall experience, especially for international guests.

The pancakes were tasty and huge portions. My recommendation to order one for 2 if you choose pancakes with ingredients or oven pancakes. The Perla bear was surprisingly good - light and tasty.
