I think the attraction is the building itself and not the content displayed in it. Just come and see its architecture. And among other things what is displayed on the walls. Somehow I had the feeling that the building overshadows its exhibitions.
An interesting museum, unlike any I've visited in other countries. I was impressed by the cartoon about the war in Ukraine. Tickets are freely available. No need to buy in advance.
No permanent collection. The curation feels unfocused, and the themes are mostly surface-level and 'safe,' offering very little intellectual challenge. The building is truly beautiful and offers amazing potential for future development or customization.
I went there with friends. All of us were so disappointed with the Museum of Modern Art. Although the place itself is so big, there were not much to see over there. We felt like the space is not used very well. If it comes to art, the exhibition is definitely lacking Polish Modert Art. How come such a place is so poor if it comes to pieces of art of our own artist. Of course art from abroad is more than welcome, but approximetely, 95% of it was not Polish. So sad and disappointing that we do not support our great artist. And even worst, the art itself was not sth really thought-provocking. Just mediocre. We had the feeling, that it was randomly picked pieces. Also, shame that our own language is placed often at the end of the descriptions (it was even shocking for visitors from the abroad as we were hearing conversations of tourists). I've been to many museums around the world and always the first language of the descriptions, was the one of the place where I was, later English and others. Here - me and my friends felt like our own culture and language is downgraded. In so many dimensions this place is disappointing. Not mentioning the outside architecture, which totally doesn't fit the surrounding.
Beautiful modernist architecture and an impressive building. Some oil paintings stood out, but most exhibitions are very abstract and conceptual. Probably great for fans of contemporary art, just not really my thing.
