I visited Zachęta – National Gallery of Art on a Thursday, which is why the entrance was free. The gallery offers free admission every Thursday. The exhibition had two main themes. On one hand, there was the war in Ukraine and the everyday lives of people there, especially children growing up during the conflict. This part of the exhibition really moved me. On the other hand, there were modern architectural photographs by Barbara Kasten with surreal elements. Personally, I didn’t really connect with that part. Overall, it was an okay exhibition. The building itself is quite beautiful and worth seeing. You can definitely check it out if you’re nearby, but I wouldn’t call it a must-see.
A wonderful and recommended gallery. The exhibitions were focused and not too many, but each one was impressive, beautiful and interesting. The building and the design of the spaces add a lot to the experience. It’s the kind of place you can truly enjoy without needing to dedicate a whole day to it. A pleasant, precise and very worthwhile art experience.
Great contemporary art exhibitions, especially the current ones with music, and the one including Palestine 🇵🇸 The staff at the entrance east very knowledgeable and told us the exhibition wasn’t contemporary but it was.
A beautiful historic site that hosts exhibitions that are often modest but interesting. Top place !
My rating is not for the place, but for the current exhibitions. It is mediocre at best and isn't worth the 30zl entrance fee. However the place itself has a potential, so I am adding one star for that.
